In the second part of our discourse (conversation), we read of the disciples having a difficult time with Jesus' words. They are questioning and grumbling. Of course, Jesus knew all of this and answered them.
Today is a difficult reading in that we see many people choosing to no longer follow Jesus. They did not believe. We also see clearly from John's perspective who Judas was and what He was going to do later. How interesting for John to think back and remember Jesus' words about one of the twelve and to realize that Jesus had been telling them all along what would happen. It is a difficult passage to digest after having read of the signs Jesus performed. This is sobering. You choose belief - you live eternally. You choose unbelief - you die without God. Yes, this is sobering, but this is reality. Talk with your children (and those you know) about believing in the name of Jesus, the Son of God.
